You have attended the Open Water Diver course and already have the basic skills required for using scuba equipment. Being in the water close to the fascinating marine life fills you with emotion and the sensation of being immersed in this liquid world makes you feel relaxed and calm. Fine, it's now time to broaden your horizons! Unimaginable objectives are beginning to be within your reach. All you need is a guide: the PSS "Advanced Open Water Diver" course!
In order to develop your skills you must learn to explore larger areas of the sea bed, controlling your position in the water and knowing how to return to your starting point, with or without the use of a diving compass. You must also learn to dive deeper, maintaining the correct level of safety. And while you are at it, why don't you also find out what it is like to dive in a current, or maybe on a wreck, or even in low visibility? You could even try out the skillls needed for marine life observation or those of searching and recovering an object from the seabed. The PSS Advanced Open Water Diver is all this - and much more. What are you waiting for? It's never too soon to take this exciting course!
On completing the course successfully you will be awarded certification to dive autonomously (but always with a buddy), to a depth of 30 meters (100 feet), from one hour after sunrise to one hour before sunset. If one of the course dives was a night dive, you can also take part in dives one hour before sunset to one hour after sunrise... in short, you will have 24 hours a day at your disposal to enjoy your favourite pastime!
The PSS Advanced Open Water Diver course dives chosen by the instructor from the first dives of the standardized specialty courses are also valid for the specialty course itself. This means that you don't have to repeat the first dive of the specialty if you decide to continue onto a specialization course because the PSS Advanced Open Water Diver course already introduced you to the basic techniques of the specialty.
