You have PSS certification as a Scuba Rescue Diver and Deep Diver (this course can also be incorporated into the Divemaster course) and diving is a real passion of yours. You would like to accompany other enthusiasts and help them discover the marvels of the underwater world and share fascinating adventures with them.
Thanks to your experience you could guide them... but remember excellent training, such as that offered on the PSS "Divemaster" course (conforming to the international standards ISO 24801-2 and European norms EN 14153-3), is essential to becoming a capable guide!
Previously you were only responsible for yourself and co-responsible for your buddy. Instead. on becoming a guide you take on the responsibility for the safety and enjoyment of all the divers you accompany on an excursion! You must therefore be able to plan and to apply the procedures for dealing with an emergency appropriate for the type of environment you will be diving in and the type of activity taking place. This is why you must know how to handle an emergency, administer first aid and also how to assist a diving casualty in breathing pure oxygen. Then - and this is the aim of the PSS Divemaster course - you must learn to organize, plan and lead recreational excursions for autonomous divers.
Great commitment is required and you even have to learn how to assist an instructor during training... a teaching career is in fact opening its doors to you!
On successfully completing the course you will be awarded certification and membership to PSS as a"Divemaster" professional.
