PSS Worldwide enters the Guinness World Records.
PSS Worldwide is renowned for holding a number of important international records.
PSS Worldwide, for instance, was the first diver training agency to set up an interactive internet site for its professional members; the first to apply an e-learning system to diving; the first to operate 360 degrees, from free diving to technical diving... And it was free diving that put PSS into the Guinness World Records.
Getting a record recognized by the Guinness World Records is not an easy task. A record attempt can only become a Guinness World Record after it has been confirmed, checked and proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.
On Garda Lake (Italy), October 2009, a world record was set in the presence of a GWR official judge: "The greatest number of people free diving at the same time". There were an incredible 280 free divers! So this is now the new, officially certified, record and we challenge anyone to beat it!
The event was supervised by Gianluca Genoni, himself a world record holder for deep free diving, as well as being the person in charge of the PSS Free-Diving Division. He was assisted by the Scuola Del Mare 2 of Verona to whom our warmest thanks go for their great commitment.
But our satisfaction is twofold because the record in itself has become another international record for PSS which can now also boast as being the only diver training agency to hold a Guinnes World Record.
