You are now a good diver and you have the PSS Advanced Open Water Diver qualification but you want to broaden your horizons further and find out more about special activities, such as those that you have already tried out on some of your dives for the Advanced Open Water Diver course, of which various "Specialty Diver" courses are a normal continuation.
On the Advanced Open Water Diver course, in fact, you tried the basic techniques of some specialization activities. You would now like to learn more about these skills and learn new ones by attending a specialty course. Certainly, you could probably teach yourself, but thanks to your instructor and PSS you will learn much more quickly and you will obtain much better results in a shorter time.
Although emphasis is given to the practical aspect of the activity with the use of various techniques, PSS has made special videos for the standardized specializations which give an excellent grounding in the theory behind the particualr activity. All this means that these courses provide a quality of training that is a far cry from those agencies that turn specialization courses into just a few "theme" dives!
The Standardized Specialty Courses are:
- Night Diving
- Limited Visibility
- Wreck Diving
- Drift Diving
- Search and Salvage
- Underwater Ecology
- Nitrox
- Digital Underwater Photography
On successfully completing the course you will receive PSS Specialty Diver qualification indicating the specialty activity which you are certified to practise autonomously (but always with a buddy), within the limits of the certifications you already hold.
