You have the PSS Technical Training certification and you are a technical diving enthusiast. You would like to teach other divers this new way of diving so you can share adventures into the underwater world with them. Thanks to the experienceyou have you can do this, but remember that special training- like that offerred on the PSS "Technical Instructor" course - is essential and necessary.... not least from a legal point of view!
Previously you were only responsible for yourself, and co-responsible for your team. On becoming an instructor you must take on the responsibility for the safety and the preparation of all the technical divers that you certify! During the training activities you must therefore always be prepared to put your safety on the line to safeguard that of your students. Are you prepared to do that?
The Technical Instructor qualification is specific to the type of course. Qualification is gained by fulfilling defined requisites, indicated in the "Rules and Programs for PSS Diving Courses" and by participating, with success, in a workshop conducted by a PSS Technical Instructor Trainer qualified for that particular level of course.
On successfully completing the training you will be awarded certification to teach a particular technical diving course and membership to PSS as a Technical Instructor.
The PSS Technical Instructor can only teach the PSS technical diving courses for which he or she has received specific certification.
