Why this course
Divemaster is the link between experience and responsibility. You learn to read scenarios, plan methodically, lead groups calmly with effective communication, and be the point of reference during dives.

- Safety:prevention, problem recognition and effective assistance.
How it works
The theory on EVO gets you aligned on responsibilities, safety, and organization; in the water you practice supervision, navigation, and handling of typical scenarios, up to fully leading dives for already certified divers.
- EVO e‑learning:modules on equipment, physics/physiology, safety, risk management and debriefing.
- Confined water:demonstration of OWD techniques and supervision of drills.
- Open water:planning and leading dives for OWD/AOWD/Deep Diver.
Essential prerequisites
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Prerequisites: Deep Diver Plus, Scuba Rescue Diver Plus, active First Aid and CPR, active Oxygen in Diving Emergency, Underwater Navigation (or equivalent experience), Night Diver (or equivalent experience).
- Medical fitness
What you will take home
- Safe leadership of recreational groups within PSS limits.
- Group control, effective briefings/debriefings and stress management.
- Navigation with compass and natural references, shore and boat management.
- Assisting the instructor during teaching.
- Environmental awareness and good low‑impact practices.
The certification
It certifies competence in guiding, planning, and supervising recreational dives for certified divers, and the ability to assist an instructor during training activities, in compliance with PSS procedures.
Standards and recognition
The course complies with ISO 24801-3 (Dive Leader). PSS certifications are internationally recognized: PSS Worldwide is a member of the RSTC, the consortium that brings together the leading scuba training agencies worldwide.
