It’s the step that turns a good diver into a reliable buddy. You learn to prevent, recognize and manage stress, coordinate with the team and implement effective rescue procedures at the surface and underwater.

How it works

The theory on EVO gives you the big picture; in the water, training is scenario-based: self-rescue, assisting an exhausted or panicked diver, recovery and emergency management from shore and from a boat, through to drafting a structured response plan.

• EVO e‑learning: targeted modules and debriefing sessions with the instructor.
• Confined water: basic techniques and coordination.
• Open water: realistic drills and teamwork.

Essential prerequisites

• Minimum age: 15 years (before in‑water activity).
• Prerequisites: OWD (with at least 10 logged dives and basic navigation) or AOWD.
• Required certifications: current CPR and First Aid (may be taken in parallel but must be valid by mid-course).
• Medical fitness

The certification

It certifies that you can assist and rescue divers in difficulty within recreational limits and in line with your existing certifications, applying safe procedures from shore and from a boat.
