Why this course
It is the natural step for trained divers who want to extend experience and awareness. You work on gas consumption, narcosis, planning and safety routines, so depth becomes a scenario to manage, not to chase.

How it works
You’ll study the key topics on EVO (gas consumption, CO2, narcosis, planning), then apply them in the water with three dives: progressions 9–18 m, 18–30 m, and 21–40 m (for Deep Diver Plus, the last is 30–40 m). If the whole group is Nitrox/EANx certified, you can use 22–40% mixes with a working pO2 of 1.4.
- Open water: 3 dives with specific objectives (buoyancy, decompression control, deep navigation).
- Equipment: compass, light, computer, DSMB with 5 m line; separate gas reserve available.
- From boat: descent/ascent on a line; 5 m bar recommended.
Essential prerequisites
- Minimum age: 15 years (before in‑water activity).
- Prerequisites: Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent).
- Medical fitness
What you will take home
- Stable trim and controlled consumption at depth.
- Planning and management of dives up to 40 m within recreational limits.
- Disciplined ascents with stops/deep-stops when required.
- Deep navigation with compass and references.
- Informed use of nitrox (if the group is certified) with analysis and labeling.
The certification
It certifies that you can dive with a buddy of suitable level, without professional supervision, within the limits of recreational diving (maximum depth 40 m under PSS standards), applying appropriate planning and ascent procedures.
