How it works
The theory on EVO gives you the foundations with examples and quizzes; in practice you analyze the mixes, fill out the labels, set up the computer, and plan nitrox dives. Open-water dives are optional under the standard, but often useful for consolidation.

Essential prerequisites
- Minimum age: 15 years (Nitrox/EANx Diver) or 12 years (Junior).
- Prerequisites: Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver (or equivalents).
- Medical fitness
What you will take home
- Nitrox planning within no-decompression limits with a buddy at least OWD.
- Use of mixes between 22% and 40% O2 in compliance with the MOD.
- Control of pO2 ≤ 1.6 bar and CNS%.
- Correct procedures for analysis, labeling and nitrox logging.
The certification
Enables you to plan, conduct, and log recreational nitrox dives (22–40%) with a buddy who is at least OWD, in compliance with the MOD and the oxygen exposure specified by the course.
Standards and recognition
The course complies with ISO 11107 and the RSTC Enriched Air Nitrox standard. PSS certifications are internationally recognized: PSS Worldwide is a member of the RSTC, the consortium that brings together the leading scuba training agencies.
