Why this course
If you already use nitrox or want to use it confidently, here you learn to choose the right mix, correctly read computers and tables and keep oxygen exposure under control. The goal is simple: more effective, safer and more mindful recreational dives.
- Smart choices:best mix and Equivalent Air Depth (EAD) to plan wisely.
- Well‑set instruments:mix analysis, labels and nitrox computer settings.
- O2 awareness: limits, MOD and CNS% always under control.
How it works
With EVO you approach the theory in a straightforward way; in the water you put it into practice right away: you analyze the mixes, set up the computer, plan and carry out two nitrox dives (one repetitive) in full compliance with recreational limits.
- EVO e-learning: modules on pO2, MOD, EAD, best mix, CNS%.
- Practical activities: O2 analysis, labels, fill/rental log, computer setup.
- Open water: 2 nitrox dives with a dedicated pre-dive briefing.
Essential prerequisites
- Minimum age: 15 years.
- Prerequisites: Open Water Diver (or equivalent).
- Medical fitness
What you will take home
- Effective nitrox planning within no‑decompression limits.
- Mix selection (22–40%) and respecting MOD.
- Correct computer settings and comparison with 'air' profiles.
- Managing oxygen exposure (CNS%).
- Procedures for analysis, labeling and nitrox logs.
The certification
Authorizes you to plan, carry out and log recreational dives with nitrox mixes (22–40%) in a buddy team with divers at least OWD, respecting MOD and the oxygen exposure limits provided by the course.
Standards and recognition
The course exceeds the requirements of ISO 11107 and the RSTC Enriched Air Nitrox standard. PSS certifications are internationally recognized: PSS Worldwide is a member of the RSTC, the consortium that brings together the leading scuba training agencies worldwide.
