Why this course
It’s the step that turns a good diver into a reliable buddy. You learn to prevent, recognize and manage stress, coordinate with the team and implement effective rescue procedures at the surface and underwater.
- Prevention first: scenario reading, risk reduction.
- Clear procedures: from surface assistance to recovering a distressed diver.
- Team working: communication, roles and a shared emergency plan.
How it works
The theory on EVO gives you the big picture; in the water, training is scenario-based: self-rescue, assisting an exhausted or panicked diver, recovery and emergency management from shore and from a boat, through to drafting a structured response plan.
- EVO e‑learning: targeted modules and debriefing sessions with the instructor.
- Confined water: basic techniques and coordination.
- Open water: realistic drills and teamwork.

- Prerequisites: OWD (with at least 10 logged dives and basic navigation) or AOWD.
- Required certifications: current CPR and First Aid (may be taken in parallel but must be valid by mid-course).
- Medical fitness
