Welcome to the special PSS ITC! The DEMA SPECIAL ITC is only $295! This fee includes all training materials, instruction, and upon certification, PSS membership registration and dues through December 31, 2023! Once you have completed the registration form linked on this page, you will receive an invoice for $295. Once paid then your EVO (eLearning) will be activated. Log into EVO using the same email provided at registration and your training will have officially started.

Candidates are responsible for providing their own scuba equipment, including cylinder(s) and air fills for all water training sessions, Blue Grotto Dive Resort entrance fees, and travel arrangements to and from training locations. Candidates must also bring a mobile device (cellphone, iPad, or Laptop), with internet access, to ALL training activities (If you are traveling, and unable to bring cylinders, your Course Director can arrange to provide them for your training at an additional pre-arranged fee).

In addition to being an active status Dive Master or Assistant Instructor from an RSTC recognized agency, candidates must hold PSS Scuba Rescue Diver Plus certification or equivalent; PSS Deep Diver Plus certification or equivalent and possess a valid PSS First Aid/CPR and PSS Oxygen in Diving Emergency certification or its equivalent.

Candidates must provide proof of at least six months diving experience and 80 logged dives, with at least 10 as a “dive guide” after Divemaster or Assistant Instructor certification. By the time of certification, the candidate shall have at least 100 verifiable logged dives. The logged dives must show a broad experience (e.g., advanced, deep, night, navigation, wreck, drift, etc.) since entry level certification, as documented in the candidate’s individual logbook/training record or equivalent documentation.

Candidates must submit verification of a medical exam within the last 12 months with approval for diving, without conditions or restrictions, issued by a licensed medical practitioner prior to engaging in water activities.

All documentation of the prerequisites listed above must be uploaded into the ITC EVO once the eLearning is activated.

You will receive a detailed training schedule once your EVO is completed. The first phase of your course is completely eLearning. Once you receive your EVO (eLearning) login and begin your course. You must complete ALL modules in the PSS Instructor Training Course EVO (eLearning) prior to any classroom, confined water and open water training and evaluations are scheduled. Continue to review and retake modules until at least a score of 75% is achieved. Your course director will contact you once you start your EVO training and will be available, as needed, to assist with any issues you may have during the eLearning. There is also a help function in the EVO quiz section for questions missed.

Additionally, in your EVO downloads section, you will find PDFs of PSS recreational course material. The material contained in these courses serve as the basis for the final instructor general diving knowledge exam. This material will not be covered or reviewed in the ITC as it represents the level of general scuba diving knowledge expected of a PSS Instructor.
